English + Multi-Activity Programme — host family centre, Douglas Community School
CEC's host-family junior center runs out of Douglas Community School, a secondary school in a suburb about 2 km and a fifteen-minute bus ride from Cork city center. Students live full board with a local family and spend the day at the school: 20 lessons (15 hours) a week in classes of 8-10 and at most 15, placed by a test on arrival, then two half-day off-campus activities, on-campus afternoon activities, one full-day excursion a week and two evening activities. The Cork Airport transfer, registration and materials are all inside the published weekly price. Minimum booking is two weeks and there are two published start dates in 2026. 2026 is the most recent published season.
