Academic English (English for Academic Purposes)
The advanced strand of Dean Close's summer school, open only to students aged 15 and over who are already at C1 or above on the CEFR scale. It replaces the general English lessons in the timetable with in-depth English for Academic Purposes — the reading, writing and seminar language a student needs for study in an English-medium sixth form or university. Everything else is the same as the main two-week course: Skills Academy each week, six excursions, boarding on campus and the presentation evening. Two dated courses run in 2026, 8 to 22 July and 22 July to 5 August. Prices are the school's published 2026 brochure fees.
