Artificial Intelligence and Art Summer Institute — UCLA

Three-week residential institute at UCLA exploring how artificial intelligence can be used in an art practice, for high-school students aged 15 to 18, running 12 to 29 July 2026. Class time mixes short lectures, discussions, workshops, studio work and critique; the course is built around three exercises and a final project and ends with an exhibition and portfolio-ready work. No prior programming or machine-learning knowledge is needed. Weeks one and two run Monday to Friday and week three Monday to Wednesday, with residence-hall check-out on the morning of 30 July. Housing is supervised for all students including weekends, with breakfast and dinner in a nearby dining hall; students bring money for lunch. Registration, course and institutional fees and the international-student insurance fee are charged on top of the program fee. Season shown is summer 2026, the most recent published by the university.
